Victoria's Secret Closes In Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — The Victoria’s Secret store at Meriden Mall has closed. L Brands, the parent company of Victoria’s Secret, confirmed the closure in an email.

As of early August, Victoria’s Secret signage could be seen on the storefront, but the interior of the retail space was cleared of inventory and most of the furniture was pushed against the walls.

In addition to the Meriden closure, the lingerie brand recently shuttered its location in downtown Fairfield. Victoria's Secret announced in May it would permanently close about 250 stores, USA Today reported at the time.

L Brands, which also owns Bath & Body Works, planned to close 50 of those stores as well, although the Meriden Mall Bath & Body Works location remained open in early August.
