4 People Hospitalized In Naugatuck Accident: Fire Department
One person was trapped inside the vehicle, officials said.
NAUGATUCK, CT — The Naugatuck Fire Department said four people were taken to the hospital after an accident occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday.
The accident occurred on Osborne Road and involved two vehicles. Fire officials said there was a "trapped occupant with 4 victims involved."
Officials said that one car was "impaled into the driver side door encroaching the driver's compartment."

Fire crews were able to remove the vehicle to allow access to the driver's door, officials said.
"The hydraulic cutters and spreaders were used to free the driver from the vehicle. The total time of extrication was 4 minutes," fire officials said.
