Borough Man Charged With Gun, Drug Possession

John Payne, 22, of Naugatuck, was charged with criminal possession of a pistol, possession of narcotics and possession of drugs near a school on August 15.

According to police, Naugatuck officers assisted CT State Parole police in the search of a Naugatuck home. During the search Payne was found to be in possession of a Walther .380 caliber handgun and 17 grams of cocaine. 

Payne was held for arraignment and is schedule to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on August 23.
