“Jūratė and I have known each other for many years. She is a wonderful opera singer and interpreter - an artist who is real in her expressions, true to the music and the challenge of the artistry itself,” said Adrian Sylveen, Artistic Director of Connecticut Lyric Opera and Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. “Jūratė and I have made some great music over the years, including performances in Poland, Italy and Israel. I think this will be a uniquely beautiful and personal concert, and I hope people will join us and enjoy it.”
Hailed for her vocal artistry and ability to “transfix audiences with moments of opera magic,” Soprano Jūratė Švedaitė has performed throughout Europe and the United States with the Lithuanian National Chamber Orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Connecticut Lyric Opera, Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Kaunas Chamber Orchestra, Classical Orchestra of Piła, Greve Opera Festival, and Pazaislis International Music Festival.
