City Hill Middle School Student Assaults Security Officer: Police

Naugatuck police say officer responded to City Hill Middle School at 11:26 a.m on Nov. 20 after a staff member was allegedly assaulted by a juvenile student.

The student was allegedly yelling and swearing at staff, which prompted the security officer to approach him, police said.

The student is charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault.

The student proceeded to allegedly punch the security officer in her chest, according to police.

The accused was released to his mother and given a court date of Dec. 3 at Waterbury Juvenile Court.
