Divers Resume Search At Hop Brook Dam In Naugatuck: Report

The search reportedly has resumed at the lake, following reports Wednesday that a person may have fallen into the water.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Divers and other emergency personnel resumed the search Thursday for a person who may have fallen into the Hop Brook Dam Lake in Naugatuck, reported WTNH-TV.

The search was suspended after several hours on Wednesday after no one was found.

Patch reached out a Naugatuck police spokesperson for comment Thursday, but did not immediately receive a response.

Authorities had received a report that a man may have fallen into the lake at about 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday, which prompted the initial search.

In addition to police, the search has included members of the Naugatuck Fire Department, the Region 5 Dive Team, Waterbury Police Department, and the Connecticut State Police Dive Team, according to officials.
