Donations Sought For Naugatuck's National Night Out Event

The free, festive community event will be held on Aug. 3.

NAUGATUCK, CT — The Naugatuck Police Department will participate in National Night Out this summer for the first time, and the department is seeking donations from the public to help get the event off the ground.

This year's National Night Out is scheduled for Aug. 3, and though it is free to attend, some funding is needed for food and other items.

"For this event to be a success, we are looking for generous donations from our community," Naugatuck police wrote on Facebook. "If you, or your business would be interested in making a donation, or would like more information, please contact Officer Durette, at ddurette@naugatuckpd.org."
