Drive-Thru Coronavirus Vaccine Clinic To Open In Naugatuck

You'll need to register for the clinic, which opens Monday.

NAUGATUCK, CT — On Monday, Naugatuck residents, who qualify for the coronavirus vaccine, will be able to get it at a drive-thru clinic at the former armory on Rubber Avenue, My Citizen's News reports.

Waterbury Hospital and Naugatuck have teamed up to offer this service, which begins on Monday. The site is adjacent to Naugatuck High School.

Today is January 22 at 2pm, we are recording this code red at our new vaccine clinic on Rubber Avenue. Here's what you need to know. We're opening the clinic on Monday, January 25 at 8am. It will be open every day during the week, between the hours of 8am and noon. Secondly, the location; the location to the clinic is the entrance to Naugatuck High School. Please enter at the high school and follow the signage directly up to the clinic.

DO NOT under any circumstances attempt to enter the clinic through the armory. You also need to know that you will be vaccinated outdoors. So, you will be in your car. It will happen outdoors. So, dress accordingly. How do you sign up? Well, you've got three choices. Number one visit ct.gov/covidvaccine and you can sign up online. Secondly, you can call the state hotline at 877-918-2224. And lastly, you can call the Waterbury Hospital, direct line at 203-575-5250 extension 4. So where are we right now?

Well, we're at the beginning of phase 1B, 75 and older. Soon we will be starting another portion of phase 1B, and we will be vaccinating people 65 and older. After that, there will be vaccinations for people between the ages of 16 and 64 with underlying conditions and essential workers, including teachers. We will be in phase 1B for quite some time. Stay tuned for more information as things change often. Be patient. Stay Naugy Strong and Naugy smart and Naugy smart includes entering the clinic at the high school.
