The owners of The Ivy at Watertown Assisted Living Residential Community have announced that the currently-under-construction community at 655 Straits Turnpike on the Watertown/Middlebury border,will open to new residents on Monday, March 30, 2020.

The Ivy at Watertown features 89 studio, one-and two-bedroom apartments, and is conveniently located near Routes 6, 63, 8 and I- 84. In addition to traditional assisted living apartments, the community will also offer a specialized memory support environment called Reflections.

A free Open House event will be held Saturday, February 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“As a very special incentive to potential residents,” stated Amie Hanrahan, co-owner, “we will cover the total costs of moving for residents relocating from the local area towns of Watertown, Oakville, Middlebury, Southbury, Oxford, Woodbury, Newtown, Bethel, Waterbury or Naugatuck. All towns within a 25-mile radius of our location on Straits Turnpike.”

All of the apartments at The Ivy are designed with daily high-quality personal care services, walk-in showers, cable, phone and Internet service, self-service washers and dryers, plus car snow removal services for all residents.

The elegant home-like environment amenities at The Ivy will include dining on local culinary favorites, a community living room with fireplace, outdoor courtyard and patio, plus a pub with complimentary snacks and beverages.

Social opportunities for The Ivy residents will be to dine at local area restaurants and visit nearby shops in Watertown, Middlebury, and Waterbury. Daily cultural and varied-interests programs, exercise and fitness gatherings, entertainment programs, weekly variety of events and activities are all being planned by the growing on-site management staff.
