Peter J Foley is so much more than a little league field; it’s home. From the moment you walk through its’ gates, you are part of the Foley family. Founded in 1949, Peter J Foley stadium is the oldest little league stadium in New England, and has been a constant fixture for many generations of Naugatuck families. In its’ early days, Foley was Naugatuck’s own “Sandlot” where all the kids would meet for a pick-up game while their parents worked at the nearby U.S. Rubber plant. Today, Foley is still the place to be on Friday nights, even if you don’t have a game. Families from all over town get together to cheer on the kids as they try their best to hit one over the fence. Comprised of a hard-working board of volunteers, with some giving more than 40 years of their lives to the organization, Foley has not only become a great little league field for players to learn the fundamentals, but, more importantly, it’s a close-knit community where everyone is welcome with open arms. Having the Big League Experience at Peter J Foley would not only be a great way to show everyone the amazing little league history that is still going strong in Naugatuck, but also a way to give back to a field that has given us so much more than just a place to play ball. So come on down to Foley - we’ll show you what it feels like to be home.
