Man Accused Of Leading Naugatuck Police In Pursuit: Police
The accused was released after posting $20,000 bail.
NAUGATUCK, CT — A Waterbury man is accused of leading Naugatuck police in pursuit, and he was released after posting $20,000 bail, police said.
At 8 p.m. on Jan. 22, a Naugatuck police officer saw a car matching the description of a possible robbery suspect traveling on Route 8 south near Exit 26, police said.
Upon an attempt to conduct a motor vehicle stop, the vehicle failed to pull over, police said. The vehicle became disabled and pulled over on Route 8 South near Exit 22, police said.

Jorge alberto Barreralima, 22, of Walnut Street, was determined to not have any involvement in the robbery attempt, but he was charged, police said.
He is charged with reckless driving, second-degree reckless endangerment, engaging police in pursuit, and interfering with an officer.
