Naugatuck Police Blotter: Man Charged with Strangulation

Several stops resulted in drug-related arrests

Maraya Montero, 25, 20 Diamond St. Naugatuck, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane. She was released on bond and given a Dec. 29 court date.

Leonard Bratchell, 25, 30 Tudor Lane, Naugatuck, was arrested for Failure to Appear. He was released on bond and given a Dec. 4 court date.

Todd Moss, 39, 4 Babcock St., Willimantic, was arrested for Breach of Peace after he was asked to leave a bar at 66 Church St. and refused. He was released on bond and given a Dec. 28 court date.

Jamie DeRosa, 40, 45 Country, Naugatuck, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol, Failure to have lights lit. He was released on bond and given a Dec. 29 court date.

Mark Vargo, 32, 27 Edgerton Rd., Wallingford, was arrested for Assault and Strangulation in the third degree when he allegedly pushed and put his hands on his girlfriends throat during an argument. He nwas held on bail and given a Dec. 19 court date.

Brandon Shemanski, 21, 106 City Hill, Naugatuck, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol and Driving too Fast For the Conditions. He was released on bond and given a court date of Dec. 28.

Lisa Leopardi, 37, 23 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was arrested for disorderly conduct and third degree Assault. She was released on bond and given a court date of Dec. 19.

Marisa Yanak, 28, 4 Eagle Rock Hill, Bethel, was arrested for Possession of Narcotics and Use of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on bond and given a court date of Dec. 28.

Jeffrey Valentine, 28, 27 Poplar St., New Milford, was arrested for Possession of Narcotics and Use of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on bond and given a court date of Dec. 28.

Annika Ekbergh-Peek, 32, 71 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was arrested for third degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct. She was released on bond and given a court date of Dec. 19.

Robert Rogers, 59, 157 School St., Naugatuck, and Linda Racine, 54, same address Naugatuck, were arrested for Disorderly Conduct when the two became involved in a physical altercation. Both were released on bond and given a court date of Dec. 19.

All are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
