
Dave Prendergast, the CEO of the Naugatuck Economic Development Corp., has announced his intention to retire when a replacement is found for his position.Â
Prendergast, 68, has held the position since the NEDC was formed about 10 years ago.Â

The Naugatuck Economic Development Corporation (NEDC) is recruiting candidates to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). NEDC is a not for profit Economic Development Corporation that provides services to the Borough of Naugatuck, a community of approximately 32,000 residences located in the Naugatuck Valley in Western Connecticut. The Corporation provides development services to the municipality including: business attraction and retention, development project management, marketing, enterprise zone coordination and business client technical assistance.
The position answers to a nineteen (19) member Board of Directors made up of business and municipal government leaders. The CEO will initiate, coordinate and implement programs that support commercial and industrial business and development activity.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration or similar discipline and/or three (3) years of economic development/organization management experience. Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications.
