Naugatuck Family Battles Leukemia For 2nd Time: Report

The Brice family's two young daughters contracted the disease; one overcame it, the other is in the midst of the fight.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Two young girls, two courageous battles against leukemia. Both from one Naugatuck family.

Scarlett Brice, 7, has been in remission from the cancer for the past three years, and her younger sister, Sophie, 6, is currently fighting it, reported Fox 61.

Less than 2 percent of families with a child with the cancer also have another child with it. Scarlett and Sophie's mom, May, says that prayer has helped the family through the difficult times.
