Naugatuck Firefighters Participate in Movember

The firefighters grew moustaches as part of the global campaign.

Twelve Naugatuck firefighters participated in “Movember”, a global campaign that raises funds and awareness for men’s health, Paul Singley reports for the Republican-American.

The Naugatuck Firefighters Union Local 1219 organized the event, which raised $400 for the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center in Waterbury.

According to the paper, the fire department has supported other causes and held fundraisers throughout the years.
