Naugatuck Man Accused Of Robbery After Stealing Vehicle: PD

The suspect and the victim know each other, according to Naugatuck police.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A 30-year-old Naugatuck man was arrested on robbery, larceny and related charges last week after police said he stole a vehicle from someone he knows.

Jack Balzano, of Coach Circle, is accused of taking the keys, wallet and cell phone out of the hands of the victim during a dispute on the afternoon of May 22, and driving off with the victim's car.

Police later found Balzano and the vehicle in Waterbury later that day and took him into custody.

Earlier in the month, Balzano was accused of a similar crime in which he took a vehicle, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Balzano was released after posting bond on bail of $150,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
