Naugatuck Man Charged with DUI After an Accident
The accident occurred on Rubber Avenue.
Naugatuck police said they responded to a motor vehicle accident on Rubber Avenue at 1:31 a.m. on Nov. 7, after Dwayne Nelson, 44, of 111 Birch Lane, allegedly backed his vehicle into the victim’s vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
During investigation, officers discovered Nelson was allegedly operating under the influence of alcohol, according to police. He was charged with unsafe backing and operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Nelson was released on a promise to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 19.
