Naugatuck Man Slashed Victim's Tires: Police
The accused was initially held in lieu of a $20,000 bond, police said.
NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck man is facing several charges and was initially given a $20,000 bond after police responded to a local residence on Jan. 8, police said.
At 12:30 a.m., police responded to a local residence to investigate an incident, police said.
"Through officer’s investigation, it was learned the accused poured beer on the victim, took her cell phone from her, slashed her vehicles tires, and restrained her from leaving the residence," police wrote in a report. "The accused then called another victim and made threats involving the use of a firearm."

Police said Shyton Martin, 23, of New Haven Road is charged with second-degree threatening, third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree unlawful restraint, disorderly conduct, and second-degree harassment.
