FAIRFIELD, CT — A Naugatuck man is accused of selling narcotics to a 23-year-old on the day he fatally overdosed, according to Fairfield police.

Luis Rivera, 34, was arrested after a traffic stop March 11 and charged with selling narcotics — a felony — and drug possession, police said.

Rivera’s arrest was a result of a three-month investigation following the overdose in December, according to police, who said they had obtained a warrant for Rivera’s arrest.
