Naugatuck Restaurants: Here's Who's Open For Take-Out

NAUGATUCK, CT — Gov. Ned Lamont has ordered all restaurants and bars to close in an effort to help contain the spread of the new coronavirus. Local eateries are allowed to afford delivery and takeout though.

In Naugatuck most restaurants are offering delivery and takeout options.

Here is a roundup of some of the most prominent restaurants in town:

Tomo 68 said "For the time being take out is the only option but we have some great news. Enter the code “COMMUNITY” on VRoom to get your delivery fee waved! Let us come to you.

Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe said all of its Connecticut locations will be open for takeout and delivery. All locations will remain open during normal hours.

"We take the health and safety of our community seriously and want to remind you of the existing options available for deliveries. If you prefer a no-contact delivery or need to request one for health reasons, you can make that request in the delivery instructions. Drivers may also reach out to you through a call or text message when you place an order to request a no-contact delivery as well. Head to nardellis.com or the Nardelli’s App to get started!

If a no-contact delivery is requested, the driver will leave your food in a safe place and alert you when it’s ready for pickup. Here’s how this works if you’d like to request one.

1. Add Instructions. At checkout, update the “Delivery Instructions” section with your request for a no-contact delivery and with details about the drop-off location. Please be specific about the location and instructions.

2. Text Your Driver. When your dasher is assigned. select the option to text your Dasher. In the message, remind them of your request and consider sending a photo of the drop-off location.

3. Driver Will Confirm Drop-Off. When your driver arrives, they’ll text you that they’ve left your order at the requested drop-off location. You’ll also receive a message in-app that your order had been delivered.

We are also offering curbside pickup at Nardelli’s! Call ahead or order online to place your order where you can add “curbside pickup” in comments as an option.
