Naugatuck Vaccination Site Marks Milestone

Unified Command and the Naugy Vax Team are grateful for Naugatuck's response to the epidemic.

NAUGATUCK, CT - The Naugatuck Fire Department has announced the 5000th COVID vaccine given at the Naugatuck Vaccination Site.

On Monday, March 29, 2021, Robert Plank from Waterbury posed with members of the vaccination team to celebrate this milestone.

Unified Command and the Naugy Vax Team are grateful for Naugatuck’s public response to the epidemic. "We are not 'out of the woods' yet, but with the public’s due diligence we can continue to make strides towards our success. Stay Naugy Strong." wrote Deputy Jim Trzaski.

"I want to personally thank our team for being dedicated to our mission. Through bitter cold.. rain, sleet, snow, extreme winds all of you persevered. Never did I hear anyone complain and always with a professional, polite attitude," the deputy added.

Members of the Naugy Vax Team were at the food bank on Spring Street. The team was able to schedule vaccination appointments on site for April 16th and 19th.
