Naugatuck Woman Hits Sign, Fire Hydrant with Her Car: Police
Police say the accident happened on Dec. 27.

Naugatuck Police said they responded to the area of 313 Spring St. for a motor vehicle accident on Dec. 27.
Courtney McDevitt, 33, of 111 Mallane Ln. is accused of allegedly striking a sign and fire hydrant, then proceeding to run from the scene, according to police.
McDevitt was found to be allegedly under the influence.

McDevitt was charged with evading responsibility, operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, illegal operation without ignition device and traveling unreasonably fast for conditions.
McDevitt was released on $2,500 bond and given a court date of Jan. 6, 2016 at Waterbury Superior Court.
