The soundtrack for Eddie Huang's directorial debut Boogie is out now. Curated and released by Victor Victor Worldwide/Republic Records in collaboration with Focus Features, the album includes new songs from Pop Smoke, “AP" and "No Cap" (Remix) alongside hits like "Welcome To The Party" and tracks from Jacquees, Sheff G, Polo G and more.
Speaking on the soundtrack, Boogie director Eddie Huang and executive producer Rafael Martinez say: "We sought inspiration from the great soundtrack albums of our time like Above The Rim and the Brooklyn Drill movement pioneered by Pop Smoke, 808 Melo and Victor Victor Worldwide. This album is meant to represent the pulse of the streets of New York City."
Steven Victor, CEO of Victor Victor Worldwide who released and executive produced the soundtrack offered: “Eddie’s project was a welcomed opportunity to work with him and I’m proud of what the soundtrack represents. I’m excited for Pop’s acting debut – for his fans to experience this side of his talent - and hope that the music we’ve put together gives fans around the world a piece of Brooklyn.”
Boogie is the coming-of-age story of Alfred “Boogie” Chin, a basketball phenom living in Queens, New York, who dreams of one day playing in the NBA. The film prominently features Pop Smoke in his debut acting role, playing Monk, New York City's greatest amateur basketball player. As such, the soundtrack serves as a survey of New York's most exciting new names, from up and comers like Nycani and Mula 10k to Brooklyn drill stalwarts.

To coincide with the film and soundtrack release, there will be a Pop Smoke x Boogie capsule collection that includes tees ($35), a crewneck ($65), a hoodie ($70) and a movie poster ($20). The designs were inspired by vintage trading cards and sports memorabilia while paying homage to Brooklyn. The collection will go live on shop.realpopsmoke.com later today, March 5th, at 3:00 PM ET.
The soundtrack's release arrives as Pop Smoke's posthumous debut album Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon becomes the longest-running #1 album on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop chart since 1990 as it tops the chart for the 17th consecutive week. To date, Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon has launched two RIAA certified platinum songs ("Hello" and "Got It On Me"), one 2x platinum song ("What You Know About Love"), one 3x platinum ("Dior"), and the 4x platinum "For The Night." "Dior" was also nominated for a GRAMMY for Best Rap Performance and, to date, Pop Smoke has amassed more than 13.1B streams worldwide and counting.

Christened "Brooklyn Rap's Homecoming King" by The New York Times, noted for bringing "a sense of excitement to New York rap that had been absent for years" by Complex, and averaging nearly ten million monthly listeners on Spotify, Pop Smoke carried Brooklyn as the Borough's next icon in the wings. His breakthrough 2019 mixtape Meet The Woo has 280 million streams globally and in a stellar review, Pitchfork claimed, "The Brooklyn rapper makes good on the promise of 'Welcome to the Party' with a debut full of the hardest, dirtiest tracks he can manage." He turned up at the top of 2020 with the Gold certified Meet The Woo 2 and debuted at #7 on the Billboard Top 200. Meanwhile eight certified singles, including five that are platinum or multi-platinum, garnered a combined certification of 10M. Most recently his posthumous debut album Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, spent 27 weeks in the Top 5, had the most weeks at #1 in the history of the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart since 2012, topped the charts in Australia, Canada, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, and Switzerland upon its release and became the UK's biggest debut album of 2020. The album has garnered over 8B streams, launched two RIAA certified platinum songs in "Hello" and "Got It On Me," one 2x platinum song ("What You Know About Love"), one 3x platinum ("Dior"), and the 4x platinum "For The Night."
