New Year's Fireworks To Be Set Off At Waterbury's Holy Land
The former theme park will be the site of a New Year's Day fireworks celebration.
WATERBURY, CT — Fireworks will be set off at Holy Land USA on New Year's Day, The Connecticut Post reported. The fireworks should be visible from vantage points around the city.
Holy Land USA, a religious theme park, has been closed since 1984.
The fireworks effort was undertaken by Post University associates, who said they wanted to spread "much-needed joy," The Connecticut Post reported.

The fireworks show will be put on by Pyrotecnico and will be held weather permitting at 6 p.m. Jan. 1. Spectators are asked to socially distance and follow all CDC guidelines while watching the fireworks.
