NAUGATUCK, CT — In an effort to further make getting the vaccine easier, Griffin Health is hosting a nighttime vaccination clinic Saturday at its Naugatuck facility at 727 Rubber Ave.

The event is called "A Shot in the Dark," and it will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. It will feature games, music and giveaways. People who receive a free vaccination at the event also will get a free custom creation from Ice Cream Emergency.

"This event aims to improve access to these lifesaving vaccines and encourage individuals to protect themselves, their loved ones and their community by getting vaccinated for COVID-19," organizers said. "Vaccination is open to everyone ages 12 and older. Youth must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian. No appointment needed. Insurance information will be collected at registration, but insurance coverage is not required. Those being vaccinated will incur no out of pocket cost."
