Beloved Father and Grandfather


WATERTOWN, CT -Alexander J. Jacovino, age 77, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.

Born on December 28, 1943 in Waterbury, Al was the son of the late Nicola and Mildred (Zuraw) Jacovino. He was a graduate of Croft High School and worked as a machinist for Anchor Fasteners, later ITW, for over 38 years until his retirement in 2005.

An avid outdoorsman, Al enjoyed fishing and hunting. He bowled and golfed for many years, was a NY Yankees and Green Bay Packers fan and loved his trips to the casino with his friends. He was a devoted father and grandfather and adored his grandchildren.

Al is survived by his son David Jacovino and his wife Tina of Torrington and his daughter Jacqueline DiBiase and her husband Vinnie of Oakville; and his three grandchildren Sarah Siemiatkoski of Waterbury, Jason Siemiatkoski of Oakville and Madison Jacovino of Torrington. He also leaves his longtime companion Candis Jacovino of Watertown; his sister Barbara Jannetty of Waterbury and his nephew Michael Jannetty, Jr. of Waterbury. He was predeceased by his sister Josephine and his brother-in-law Michael Jannetty.
