MIDDLEBURY , CT -Barbara L. Gandolfo, 87, the widow of John A. Gandolfo, died peacefully on March 29, 2020 at her home with loving family by her side.

Barbara was born on October 18, 1932 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late Horatio and Elenor (Sears) Russell and had lived in Naugatuck and Middlebury all of her life. Barbara retired from Uniroyal, Inc. where she had worked in accounting.Barbara is survived by her son, Russell A. Gandolfo and his wife, Bok-Hee Gandolfo; her daughter, Gail Lee and her husband, Sean Lee; her grandchildren, Lisa Ladd and Peter Winship; her great grandchildren, Kayla, Kirstin, Cheyenne, Dwayne and Jarrett; her brother, Ronald Russell and his wife, Sharon Russell; several nieces and nephews and her foster children, Todd, Jackie, Gordon and Charlie. In addition to her husband and her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Frank Russell and her longtime friend, Peter Alanskas.

Funeral services will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
