TORRINGTON, CT - Beverlee Moon, of Torrington, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband and children on May 15, 2021, and now lives in the loving care, compassion, and company of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Beverlee was born and raised in Illinois, receiving her B.A. degree in Education from Augustana College, and later pursued graduate studies at Southern Connecticut State University.

Bev was honored and recognized for her successful teaching abilities as both a dedicated elementary school teacher and a revered English-as-a Second-Language (ESL) instructor. She taught students, originating from over thirty different foreign countries, utilizing a curriculum that she developed to meet specific student needs. These teaching techniques were valued and used by other ESL teachers. As a teacher, she also willingly taught home-bound children who were challenged by sickness or disability.
