Brian F. Cavanagh, 45, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Waterbury Hospital with his family by his side.

Brian was born June 19, 1975, in Rockville Centre, NY, and was raised in Torrington. Brian faced his illnesses with enormous courage and a religious faith that brought strength to his parents, Irene (Gormley) and Brian Cavanagh of Torrington; one brother, Joseph Cavanagh of Franklinton, Louisiana; two sisters, Jacqueline Wilkinson and her husband Wade of Long Island, NY, Katherine Bouchard and her husband Keith of Unionville, CT; his nieces and nephews, Jack and Brynn Bouchard, Emma and Colin Wilkinson, Matthew Cavanagh, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by one brother, Matthew Cavanagh, and one niece Adrianna Cavanagh.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Torrington, CT There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends attending funeral services are reminded to follow CDC recommendations for COVID prevention by following social distancing and wearing protective face masks.
