Before her retirement, Carmella worked as a registered nurse for the Medicare Pavilion for 16 years.

Torrington, CT - Carmella (Giordano) Migaldi, 82, of Torrington and formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 14, 2021 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Migaldi.

Carmella was born in Waterbury, CT on July 12, 1938, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Quagliaro) Giordano. She graduated from Wilby High School and earned her Nursing Degree from the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. Before her retirement, Carmella worked as a registered nurse for the Medicare Pavilion for 16 years.

Carmella leaves to cherish her memory her children, Michael Migaldi and his wife, Theresa of Torrington, Juliana Perillo and her husband, John of Wolcott and grandson, John Perillo of Wolcott. She will be dearly missed by her loving sister-in-law and confidant, Lucille (Migaldi) Kelleher and her husband, Jim of Litchfield, life long friend, Ray Archambault, godchildren, Patty Kenworthy and James Kelleher III, who she loved very much and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

Carmella’s family wants to extend many thanks to Jo-Ann Orsatti, NP-C for her compassionate care over the last 3 years. They would also like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Trish Luces, Nancy Terrero, Ryleigh Huften and Karla Ramirez. She adored all of you and we are extremely grateful for all you did for her. To Mary Anne, Andrea and all the staff of the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Litchfield County, your stellar care and empathy will never be forgotten. Thank you all.

Finally, her faithful companion and granddog, Ms. Ellie will so miss you very much.

Arrangements: A graveside will be private at Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT has been entrusted with Carmella’s arrangements.
