Charles A. Kempka, Jr., 56, husband of the late Janet Steffman, passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2021. Born in Meriden, CT on March 15, 1965, he was the son of Charles A. Kempka, Sr. and the late Marian J. Miller. He resided in Meriden and had graduated from Naugatuck High School.

Charlie was employed by ARG Commercial Services for many years. He was an avid N.Y. Rangers and Washington Red Skins fan. He shared a passion for bowling with his father, as well as golfing.

Besides his father, he is survived by his daughter, Kasie Ryan and her husband Matthew; his son, Michael Hard and his wife Mariana, and Justin Demers-Steffman and his wife Danielle; 9 grandchildren; his sisters, Susan (Kempka) Turner, and Patricia (Kempka) Matthews. He is also survived by 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 4 great nieces, and 5 great nephews.

Besides his wife and his mother, Charlie was predeceased by his sister, Doreen A. Kempka.

Family and friends are invited to call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
