Diane worked for All Star Transportation in the Region 16 school district and was a driver for school bus #10 for over 30 years. She brightened the day of so many students and loved them like they were her own children and they loved her. She loved decorating for the holidays and at Christmas would set up 2 trees, 1 of which was filled underneath with all the presents from her students. On Christmas Eve she would open each gift and tell her family something special about the student who had given it to her.

Diane was a member of the Naugatuck Garden Club and had a passion for growing flowers and vegetables. She had a love of animals and adopted many cats and dogs over the years and couldn't resist showing everyone numerous photos of them. She was looking forward to retiring soon at her home at Laurel Beach in Milford, living at the beach where she collected sea glass, enjoyed clam digging and floating around in her giant pink flamingo raft.
