Obituary: Harry Carmen Geloso, 72, of Beacon Falls

He was a current member of the Naugatuck YMCA who thoroughly enjoyed watching his daughter play softball at Albertus Magnus College.

Harry Carmen Geloso, age 72, the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betsy) Homa Geloso, passed away peacefully from cancer on May 27, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in Derby on January 6, 1949, son of the late Harry and Rose Marino Geloso. Harry was a long time resident of Seymour prior to moving to Beacon Falls in 1998. He was a graduate of Seymour High School and Quinnipiac University with a degree in Business. Harry was employed as a support tech in the engineering department of AT&T for 33 years until his retirement. He was a current member of the Naugatuck YMCA who thoroughly enjoyed watching his daughter play softball at Albertus Magnus College of New Haven. Most of all, Harry loved to spend time with his family and many friends. He will be sadly missed by all but will remain forever in our hearts.

In addition to his beloved wife Betsy, Harry is survived by two sons Gregory Geloso (Nona) of Oxford and Kevin Geloso of New York City, his cherished step daughter Amy Castiello of Naugatuck, his youngest daughter Ivy Rose Geloso of Beacon Falls, his two grandchildren Jaxon and Chloe Geloso of Oxford, his caring mother in law Elizabeth Carol Homa, his beloved sister in law Kathleen Fitzgerald Geloso and multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Harry was predeceased by his only brother Harlow Geloso of Woodbridge.

A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Harry's life will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 am DIRECTLY at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 25 Maple Ave., Beacon Falls, with the Rev. Joy Jacob, SBD, Pastor, officiating. All other services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Harry's memory may be made to either the Harry Geloso Scholarship Fund for Woodland Softball or the Naugatuck YMCA, both through the funeral home.
