James R. Seitzer, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2021 after a short illness at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington, CT surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 18, 1943 in Naugatuck, CT to his beloved parents Donald and Sara Louise (Stiber) Seitzer.

Jim leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memories; his wife of 45 years, Judith Allen Seitzer, their son John Bennett and his wife Kelliann and their children Jackie, Jessie and Johnny. His stepchildren Michael Mikuski and his children Mikie and Eric; Julie Mikuski Lauer and her husband Larry and children Alysia, Nicholas and Amy; Mitchell Mikuski and daughter Missy; and Joseph Mikuski and his wife Diane and children Sarah and Brooke. He also leaves his sisters Donna Seitzer Fay of NV and Martha-Lee Seitzer Fenton of CT and his wonderful nieces, including Debbie Lee his goddaughter. Jim had many great grandchildren that will miss their Poppy.

Jim graduated from Naugatuck High School 1961 earning a variety of sports awards. He continued to love sports all of his life. After graduation he enlisted in the US Navy, where he served our country from 1961 thru 1964. He retired from UTC Farmington, CT after 18 years. He was employed at the Litchfield Community Center, Litchfield, CT for 15 years.

There will be a private celebration of life for Jim/Poppy at the convenience of the family.
