WATERBURY, CT - Joseph Fusco, 86, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Apple Rehabilitation Center in Watertown. He was the loving husband of the late Helen (Varrone) Fusco who predeceased him in 1967, and husband to the late Heather (Cook) Fusco who predeceased him in 1998.

Joe was born in Pontelandolfo, Benevento, Italy on November 20, 1934, son of the late Michelangelo and Carmela (Rinaldi) Fusco. After serving in the Italian Army, Joe took the courageous journey to the United States to start a new life. Joe worked for Perfection Screw & Rivert for many years until his retirement and was an active member of the Pontelandolfo Community Club and the Avigs Club. Joe had a passion for gardening, making wine, hot peppers and capicola.

Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Mario A. Fusco and his wife Cookie of Bethlehem, his two grandchildren, Christopher Fusco and his wife Cody of Bethlehem, Amanda L. Fusco of Burlington, and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Chloe, and Christopher. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Armondo and Donato Fusco.

Arrangements: A funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, 9:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to St. John the Evangelist Church in Watertown for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. A calling hour will be held Tuesday morning from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
