WATERBURY, CT - Joseph Veriton Francis, age 73, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 3, 2021.
Joseph was born on August 30, 1947 in Kingston, St. Andrew, Jamaica a son of the late Lionel and Hermine (Frazer) Francis. Before his retirement, he worked in construction for O & G Industries for over 30 years. Joseph was a quiet man and he cherished taking care of his family and his birds. He enjoyed playing Dominoes.

Joseph leaves his children, Michael Francis, Stacy Francis, Meloney Thompson and her husband, Dwayne and Jodi Francis all of Waterbury, siblings, Catilda Byers and her husband, Albert, Dawn Williams and her husband, Arden, Byron Francis and Linden Francis all of Waterbury, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Keith Francis.
Arrangements: A calling hour will be held on Friday morning, April 9, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. A prayer service will follow the calling hours at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow the service at New Pine Cemetery in Waterbury.
