Obituary: Leslie Robert "Bob" LeVasseur, Sr., 84, of Waterbury
He was a member of the Naugatuck Elks and leaves family in Naugatuck.

WATERBURY - Leslie Robert "Bob" LeVasseur, Sr., 84, of Waterbury, went to be with his Lord on May 18th, after a long illness.
He was the beloved husband of 59 years to June Louise (LeMay) LeVasseur. He is also survived by sons Robert LeVasseur and wife Donna of Binghamton, NY; Thomas LeVasseur and wife Michelle of Thomaston, and Leslie LeVasseur, Jr. and wife Julie of Naugatuck; his loving grandchildren Kaitlin, Matthew and fiancée Gabriella, Megan, Lindsey, Daniel and fiancée Alyssa, Sara and Sandra; his brother John LeVasseur; his sisters-in-law Helen LeVasseur and Yvonne LeClair; his brother-in-law Norman and companion Brenda Weems and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was born in Millinocket, Me., on September 13, 1936, son of the late Daniel and Loretta (Ouellette) LeVasseur. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by is sister Carol Martelli and husband Louis, brother Dennis LeVasseur, sister Linda Dumond and husband Joseph; his brothers- and sisters-in-laws Claire and Hervey Stetson, Walter and Jean LeMay, Arthur and Elizabeth LeMay, Beverly LeMay and Joseph LeClair.
Bob was a hardworking, loving and devoted provider to his family his entire life. He spent most of his career as a machine operator and assistant foreman at Sherwood Medical and Oxford General. His biggest joy was spending time with family, Candlewood Lake, fishing, sports and casinos. He was a member of the Naugatuck Elks.

Arrangements: Calling hours for Bob will be Sunday, May 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated directly at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St., Watertown, Monday, May 24 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
