***A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 7, 2021, 10 a.m., St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St., Watertown. Burial of ashes will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

WATERTOWN - Mary Elizabeth Walesky, 73, of Watertown, died Monday, March 16, 2020, at Waterbury Hospital.

Mary was born in Waterbury, April 18, 1946, daughter of the late Joseph and Estelle (Andrusiewich) Walesky. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Eli Whitney Technical School in New Haven. She continued her education at Helene Fuld College of Nursing, becoming a Registered Nurse. She worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital until her retirement.

Mary enjoyed reading and needlepoint and loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed helping to prepare their holiday meals. Her sudden passing is a huge loss. She will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by three sisters, Joanne Norkus of Waterbury, Margaret Solomito of Oakville, and Roberta Ficara of Yucca Valley, Calif.; eight nieces and nephews; and nine great nieces and nephews.
