Mrs. Mary Y. (Marino) Chasse, age 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2021. She was the devoted wife of the late Norman J. Chasse.
Born in Waterbury on December 4, 1927, Mary was the daughter of the late George and Lena (Romano) Marino. She attended Wilby High School and worked in the shipping and receiving department at Scovill Manufacturing which later became Century Brass for 23 years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church and a member of the Century Brass Union. Mary loved trips to the casino, watching television, and reading. Mary was also a sports fan, especially baseball and basketball.

Mary is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to Norman, her husband, Mary was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia Chasse, her brother Joseph Marino and her sister Rose Coelho.
Her graveside service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10am at Calvary Cemetery, 2324 E. Main St., Waterbury. There are no calling hours family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Maiorano Funeral Home has had the privilege of assisting her family with all arrangements.
