Throughout her life, Dolores (Dee) had a happy, positive disposition and a great sense of humor. She loved to read, play Scrabble and card games at family gatherings. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and took ceramic classes. She listened to a variety of music but was especially fond of piano and enjoyed listening to Italian Polka music on Sunday mornings, a favorite of her, mother, Carmela. She loved listening to her husband, Vinnie, play his guitar for her.

Dolores spent as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren over the years, as they were a source of great love and pride in her life. She spent many happy holidays with her family and good friends. Dolores did all things with great love. She made everyone feel welcome in her home and made each gathering a beautiful, special event not to be missed.

Dolores derived great joy from cooking and sharing food with her family and friends. Pasta on Sunday afternoon was a lifetime tradition which was rarely missed. Anyone who visited Dolores knows that if she offered you food, saying “no” was really not an option.

Over the years, Dolores took many bus trips to NYC and Boston to shop and see plays, and especially enjoyed love stories and musicals. Dolores enjoyed many happy vacations with her family and friends which she spoke of often. This included trips to Misquamicut, Cape Cod, Niagara Falls, St. Croix, Sanibel Island and West Point. Some of her fondest memories were of vacations spent at Chase Pond Cottages in Wilmot Flat, New Hampshire.

Dolores will be dearly missed and remembered for her warmth, her kindness and generosity, her strength of character, her unwavering love and support of her beloved family and friends all of whom she kept in contact with throughout her life.
