August 18, 1929 ~ May 22, 2021 (age 91)

TORRINGTON, CT - Richard Anderson Regner, 91, of Torrington, CT, beloved husband of 68 years to Antoinette Regner passed away peacefully on May 22, 2021 at Valerie Manor in Torrington, CT.

Born August 18, 1929 in Danbury, CT he was the son of Carl and Gladys Anderson Regner. Richard was predeceased by his wife Antoinette, brothers Bob and Carl, sister-in-law Angelina Renzullo and brothers-in-law Oliver Renzullo and Fred Rossi. Upon graduation from Torrington High School in 1947, Richie enlisted in the US Navy and was assigned to Navy Air Group 7. He spent 4 years serving his country during the Korean War (1948-1952). Later, he worked for SNET as a Line Man for 12 years, Bristol Hospital, then Harwinton Consolidated School for another 19 years, retiring in 1991.

With loving memory, he leaves behind his daughter Linda and son-in-law Tom Boyd of Tolland, CT, daughter Nancy Regner of Torrington, CT and his son Jim and daughter-in-law Sandra Regner of Cocoa Beach, Florida. Richie had 4 grandchildren; Mackenzie and her husband Carl Rivers of Coventry, CT, Casey and her wife Mary Rueger Sparks of Quakertown, PA, Maegan and Jennifer Delgrande of Brooklyn, NY. He also had 2 great granddaughters; Mattingly (9) and Gibson (7) Rivers, along with many nieces and nephews. Richie is also survived by sister-in-law Elsie Rossi of Torrington, CT and his brother Gary Regner, residing in Florida. Folks who knew Richie will always remember his gentle ribbing and caring personality.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at Valerie Manor for their care and support. Richie was a member of The Methodist Church in Torrington, CT. We love you very much, Richie, and you will be greatly missed by all.
