OAKVILLE- Robert Samuel "Dotz" Griffin, 39, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 3, 2021. He was the beloved son of Mary (Griffin) Rompre.

Rob was born in Waterbury, January 12, 1982. He was raised in Waterbury, attended Watertown High School, and graduated from Porter & Chester Institutes HVAC program. He loved boating and working on boats, music and hanging with his friends. He was a lifelong avid Giants football fan.

Rob was a "people-person". He had a talent for making you laugh and everyone he met loved him and he them in return. He adored his family and spending time with them, especially his cousins, nieces, and nephews. His passing has left a huge void and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his mother and her partner, Steve Naccarato, Rob is survived by his father, Raymond Rompre; two brothers, Jason Rompre and his partner Kori Corcoran and Raymond Rompre, Jr. and his partner Molly Wilkinson; his sister, Amanda Griffin and her partner, Joel Madera; his aunts and uncles, Joanne and Ralph Rasmussen, Tracy and Brian Duffany, Donna Griffin and her partner, Todd Shaw, Dore and Duke Dugan, and Denise and Rick Warner; eight nieces and nephews, Beth Griffin, Jaelisse Madera, Kylee Corcoran, Danialisse Madera, Ryan Rompre, Kiley Rompre, Lillian Sanchez, Leyla Corcoran, Sarahi Madera, Dylan Rompre, and Jaxtyn Rompre; six cousins, Stefanie Rasmussen, Nashana Olsen, Ken Rasmussen, Kimberly Duffany, Brian Duffany, Jr., and Tucker Shaw: and many extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the American Legion Post 22, 211 Elm Street, Thomaston, at a time to be announced.
