Wolcott, CT - Mr. Roderick C. “Rick” Boutote, 69, of Wolcott, passed unexpectedly Monday May 10, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the loving husband of Mevlude (Licolli) Boutote.

Rick was born February 20, 1952 in St. John, ME, one of seven children of the late Gilbert and Mary (Walker) Boutote. He settled to Waterbury with his family as a child. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era as a Specialist Grade E-4. Upon returning home from the military, he completed his high school education as a tool and die machinist from W.F. Kaynor Technical School. He pursued a career in manufacturing for over thirty years at ITW Highland Manufacturing until his retirement. He loved his family, his country, riding and enjoying his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and his truck. Being the master of all trades and very handy with his hands, he was always willing to help others with projects and any type of job. He was a member of the Old School Social Club.

Besides his wife Mev of 44 years, he leaves to honor and cherish his memory; his children, Rick Boutote Jr. and his wife Kelly and Stacie Boutote, “Daddy’s Little Girl” all of Wolcott; 3 brothers, Gil Boutote and his wife Phyllis of Oakville, Brian Boutote and his wife Debbie of Wolcott, and Will Boutote of Waterbury; 2 siters, Diane Davino of New Port Richey, FL and Carla Boutote of Waterbury; 2 grandchildren, Derek and Sarah Boutote of Wolcott; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Judy Angelicola.

Arrangements: A funeral service will be held Tuesday May 18th 10 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury. Burial with military honors will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
