WATERBURY, CT - Rosalyn M. Gualtieri, age 93 of Waterbury passed away peacefully March 26, 2021 at The Pines at Bristol. She was the beloved widow of Anthony Gualtieri.

Rosalyn was born May 23, 1928 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Ciriello) Capobianco. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Prior to her retirement in 1992, Rosalyn had worked for the City of Waterbury as a health aide at Kennedy High School. She was an avid cook, especially her Italian Sunday dinners. She loved hosting family and friends for any social event. Rosalyn spent countless summers on Mayo Beach in Wellfleet with her family and close friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who treasured spending time with her family and close friends. She will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know and love her.

She leaves her daughters Judith Sidella of Watertown, Joyce Gualtieri of Waterbury, her grandchildren Jamie McDevitt and her husband Matthew, Matthew Sidella and his wife Camille, her great grandchildren Emma and Lily McDevitt, Ayla Sidella, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews including the Tessier family, Donna, Jim, Dana, and Dawn as well as her extended family on the Sidella side especially Barbara Dublin. She was predeceased by her brothers Eugene, Rocco and Jerry Capobianco and her sister Josephine Inturrisi.
Rosalyn’s family would like to thank the staff and hospice unit at The Pines for the care, compassion, love and comfort extended to Rosalyn and her family during her brief stay.


Arrangements: Funeral Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial /Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury, CT 06708 to our Lady of Mount Carmel Church to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7:00 p.m.
