WATERBURY, CT - Rose A. (DiDonato) Giusti, 100 years old, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Monday, March 22, 2021, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Giusti Sr.

Rose was born in Waterbury on February 26, 1921, daughter of the late Costantino and Filomena (Poletti) DiDonato. Rose was always willing to do anything for anyone. As a young girl she always helped care for her siblings, and that same mentality continued as she grew older. Rose had an immense love for her family and would do anything for them. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow. Anyone who knew Rose could attest to how amazing of a cook and baker she was. Her most signature meal was on Christmas when she would put out a spread of the seven fishes, something she loved to do, in addition to baking her Italian cookies and pizzagaina.

Rose leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Albert Giusti, Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Wolcott, her daughter, JoAnn Giusti Perruccio-Ventresca of Waterbury, her two grandchildren, Ashley Cole and her husband Cliff, Marissa Giusti, her great granddaughter, Ava Rose Cole, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ernest DiDonato and his wife Ann, Guido DiDonato and his wife Betty, Josephine Orsini and her husband Angelo, Mary Drago and her husband Salvatore, Elsie Brandolini and her husband Arthur, her Uncle, Roger DiDonato, sister-in-law, Julia Giusti and her husband, Samuel and her three nephews, Angelo Orsini Jr., Richard Desjardins Sr., and Richard Desjardins Jr.

Arrangements: Rose’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Thursday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
