Police Union Leaders Speak Out Against Senior Center Plan In Ansonia

They're urging Ansonia government to consider other alternatives.

ANSONIA — Sgt. Vincent A. Orlando, the president of the Ansonia Police Union, and Sgt. John Krupinsky, president of the Connecticut Fraternal Order of Police, say putting a senior center within the new Ansonia Police Department under construction at 65 Main St. in Ansonia is a very bad idea.

They say the plan being pushed by Mayor David Cassetti’s administration and members of the Board of Aldermen will put seniors in danger and possibly prevent the police department from being accredited by the state.
