Police: Woman Strikes Daughter With Shoe, Dumps Water on Her
The incident allegedly occurred in the early morning hours of July 4.

A local woman has been charged in a domestic violence incident after hitting her juvenile daughter with a sneaker and dumping water on her, police said.
Florence Barnett-Levy, 39, of 933 Rubber Ave., was charged with second-degree attempt to commit assault, risk of injury to a child and first-degree reckless endangerment: intimidation intended, for the incident, which allegedly occurred at 4:34 a.m. on July 4.
Police said the woman also locked her daughter out of the house after dumping a water jug on her. The police report did not indicate the age of the juvenile.Â

She was released on a $5,000 surety bond and was arraigned Friday. She did not enter a plea and the case was referred to a family relations counselor.Â
