Premier Subaru Watertown Donates $20K To Cancer Foundation

Watertown, CT, May 26, 2021– Premier Subaru Watertown presented Jane Ellis, President and
Executive Director of The Connecticut Cancer Foundation with a check in the amount of
$20,775 today. The donation represented the proceeds from the company’s annual “Share the
Love” event, in which, anyone that purchased or leased a new Subaru could make a $250
donation to one of four national charities – ASPCA, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Meals on Wheels
Association of America, the National Parks Foundation – or a fifth local charity for their
customers to support. Premier Subaru Middlebury selected The Connecticut Cancer
Foundation as the company’s “hometown charity” for the 2020-2021 Share The Love Campaign.

Premier Subaru Watertown is proud to have matched dollars from Subaru of America directly to
provide an additional impact to The Connecticut Cancer Foundation.

The mission of The Connecticut Cancer Foundation is to provide financial assistance to
Connecticut cancer patients and their families to fund cancer research. It was founded by John
Ellis, a former catcher for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers.

“At Premier Subaru Watertown, we are excited to share the love with The Connecticut Cancer
Foundation, an amazing organization that has contributed more than $6.4 million to more than
7800 cancer patients over the last 33 years, as well as contributed more than $2.4 million to
cancer research, said Robert J. Alvine, President of Premier Subaru Watertown.

Kerri Pacheco, Vice President of Premier Subaru Watertown continued “Given the horrible
affects of COVID this past year and the inability for non-for-profits to engage in fundraising

activities, we are proud to provide this contribution to The Connecticut Cancer Foundation to
assist in these challenging times. The need for help with those with cancer is ever increasing
and we want to be there.”

Over the last 13 years, through the Share the Love event, Subaru of America and its
participating retailers have donated more than $200 million to charity, with customers choosing
between four national and over 1,440 hometown charities.

Premier Subaru Watertown has provided more than $250,000 in contributions to local
organizations such as New Opportunities Meals on Wheels, The Harold Leever Regional
Cancer Center, The Boys and Girls Club of Waterbury and the Waterbury Police Activity
League.

The Premier Auto Group as a whole has contributed more than $1.4 million to local
organizations over the last 5 years – making an impact in the communities in which the
company serves.
