Rebuilding a Vibrant Downtown in Torrington

The Warner Theatre's doors will remain closed until we can open them safely; until then, they need your support.

TORRINGTON, CT - If you have already made your gift to the Annual Fund, thank you. With Spring upon us, the Warner Theatre continues to stand hopeful, inspired, and committed to what lies ahead for the arts and for our beloved theatre. Like you, we have been navigating through this pandemic as best as possible.

We are encouraged by CT’s rollout of the vaccines; however, our doors will remain closed until we can open them safely. Until then, we need your support.

While you consider supporting the Warner Theatre, please contemplate the following:

  • The Warner is an indispensable growth engine for our community, representing $8.1 million in economic impact, annually. Your support will ensure we continue to support the rebuilding of a vibrant downtown.
  • The Warner continues to host workshops for students and provide free, virtual programming. There are more things planned for 2021, including movies, outdoor events and hybrid in-person/virtual performances! Your support will help us keep our community connected through the arts with additional programming.
  • The Warner lost over $1.6 million in earned revenue since the onset of the pandemic. We are forever grateful to private and state funding that has allowed us to remain operational during this closure but we must continue to seek support as we bridge the theatre to re-opening.

Our goal for this appeal is $200,000 – and we are about 40% of the way there! Your support will help us build on our current momentum and reach our goal while we work to open our doors again! On behalf of the Staff and Board Members, thank you for your stewardship of this special place. We cannot wait to welcome you back to the theatre when we can do so safely!

Sincerely,

Rufus de Rham, Executive Director
Lesley Budny, Relationship Director
