Shakespeare Returns to the Litchfield Hills
The Friends of Shakesperience in the Litchfield Hills are proud to announce that Washington's Walk Pavilion will host 'Twelfth Night.'

The Friends of Shakesperience in the Litchfield Hills are proud to announce that from the August 4th through the 8th, Washington’s River Walk Pavilion will accommodate FREE 7:30pm performances of Twelfth Night featuring union, professional, community, and student performers under the direction of Emily Mattina. Twelfth Night is performed on a set with prominent stained glass window motifs to literally feature the verdant hills of Litchfield County in the background. Complemented by original music and a chorus of young people, a twin boy and girl get shipwrecked in mystical Illyria, each thinking the other lost. Like all of us, they must now find their way to life, love, and each other. Shakesperience invites audiences to bring a picnic at 7pm each night and again socialize with each other, as well as with the love-obsessed Orsino, the cloistered Olivia, the clownish Malvolio, the indomitable Viola, and more of the most loved characters in Shakespeare.
Shakespeare in the Litchfield Hills is sponsored in part by DK Schulman Design, Dobson Pools, Ericson Insurance Advisors, National Iron Bank, Pergola Home, The Owl, WKND, Warren General, Connecticut Office of Arts, and Friends of Shakesperience in the Litchfield Hills. Daily, additional businesses are joining this effort to support the performances. These and individual donations to support the free-admission production are deeply appreciated at www.shakesperienceproductions.org/summer.
Shakesperience is a nonprofit professional theater company located in Connecticut that reaches a Northeast audience of adults and students alike with outdoor and in-studio performances, Saturday and private acting classes, school & camp tours, and residency programs.
